Finally Kyle Orton gets the opportuinty and his just due.The Bears open their first pre-season game against the K-C Chiefs tonight at Soldiers Field with Orton at the helm.The way I see it and the way I like it is Rex the Hex is Orton 's back up QB.
With Orton at the lead don't look for any long sensational passes or fancy foot work or a charismatic attitude. Orton is a work horse that goes out there and gets the job done. If it takes winning ugly, so be it. Years from now the record books will only show the stats and you can't argue with success.
Orton's primary goal is to control the football and points on the score board and within in this process give his defensive unit ample to time to rest on the side lines.
Bears Report:
Cubs Report:
The Cubs are in high gear and are up by 5 games with 23 games over 500. Not to shabby, holding on to a second best club record in both leagues, GO CUBS, GO CUBS GO. Start saving your money to accumilate a few sheagles with the remaing games. This will afford you a good BR going into football season.
Bret Farve & Green Bay:
Bret Farve should have remained retired as a player. If his love for the Packers was that intense he should have taken a position with the team as an Assn't QB coach or worked out of the front office in a PR capacity.
Can't blame either side, but they should have sat at the table came up with a better solution that they did here. Hopefully Bret doen't make an ass out himself. or get injured now.
